Top Ways to Add Outlook Contacts on Android

Android automatically syncs your contacts and calendar when you add a Gmail account to the platform. However, many people use Outlook to keep track of their contacts, emails, and calendar entries. There are alternative ways to add touches to Outlook on Android, so you aren’t constantly dependent on someone emailing you their contact information.

You may use the Outlook email app from the Play Store, add a new account through Settings, and enable contacts. Additionally, we’ll demonstrate how to make Outlook the default account for adding touches. Now, without further ado, let’s begin.

1. USE THE OUTLOOK ANDROID APP

On Android, Microsoft provides the Outlook email client. It’s one of the top email programs and a great Android and iPhone alternative to Gmail. Install Outlook, set up your account, and sync your phone’s contacts before you start. The steps are listed below.

  • On your Android smartphone, launch Google Play Store.
  • Install the application and look for Outlook.
  • Activate the Outlook app and sign in using your Microsoft credentials.
  • Tap the Home icon in the top-left corner once the app has finished syncing your email.
  • In the lower-left corner, tap Settings.
  • Under your mail accounts, pick Outlook.
  • Activate the “Sync contacts” toggle.

Open the Contacts app and go back to the Home screen. There will begin to be Outlook contacts there.

2. USE THE SETTINGS MENU:

Use Android’s default Settings menu to sync Outlook contacts if the preceding method doesn’t work.

  1. Configure the Android Outlook email app (refer to the steps above).
  2. Open the app drawer menu by swiping up from the home screen of your Android phone.
  3. Look for the Settings app with the well-known gear symbol.
  4. To Passwords & accounts, scroll down.
  5. Choose Outlook from the option that appears.
  6. Click on Account sync.
  7. Select Contacts from the menu below to turn it on.

3. USE THE CONTACTS APP:

In order to sync your Android phone with your Outlook contacts, you must first build a.VCF file from your Outlook contacts. A.CSV file will be generalized and converted to a.VCF format using Outlook for Web.

  1. On the desktop, open Outlook and select the People tab.
  2. Open “Manage Contacts” at the top, tick the box next to “All contacts,” and then click “Enable.”
  3. When you choose “Export Contacts,” Outlook will save the file as a.CSV.
  4. To convert your.Csv file to a.VCF format (as the Android Contacts app’s native Contacts app cannot read and import numbers from an a. CSV file), use an internet application like any Conv.

If you have an Outlook contacts file.VCF format, transfer it to your phone, then import it using the built-in Contacts app.

  • Start your phone’s Contacts app.
  • Select “Fix & manage” from the menu.
  • The Import from file option.
  • Choose a device or email account to save imported contacts.
  • The default file manager menu will be shown. To import an a.vcf file into Android, locate it.

Set Outlook as The Default:

It’s time to make Outlook the default account for saving new contacts after importing Outlook contacts into Android. Otherwise, Gmail will remain the default account on your phone.

  • Activate the Contacts app.
  • In the top-right corner, tap the image of your account.
  • Access the Contacts app’s settings.
  • Click the ‘Default account for new contacts’ button.
  • Outlook can be chosen from the pop-up menu.

Add your most beloved contacts to quick access:

Managing hundreds of Outlook contacts may occasionally be a hassle. You may add individuals to your Favorites in the built-in Contacts app so you can search and contact them quickly. What you must do is as follows.

  1. Activate the Contacts app.
  2. Click the Highlights tab.
  3. At the top, select Add favorites.
  4. Your contacts will be shown in alphabetical order. Next to your regularly used contacts, click the star icon.
  5. Your chosen contacts will show up as a shortcut in the favorites menu.

ACCESS YOUR OUTLOOK CONTACTS ON ANDROID:

The simplest way to add contacts for Microsoft accounts on Android is by using the Outlook email client. Use Android widgets to add contact shortcuts on the home screen after adding Outlook contacts.
